Now we propose to you these antique pair of earrings in Corniola cameos representing the old Myth of the love between Psyche and Eros well known up the present times and widely represented in the literature and Arts : sculptures; paintings etc.. On the Top we have the head of Eros watching and Down a large drop with Psiche and Eros kissing each-other surrounded by flowers. The figures are very carefully hand-carved and full of precious details. They are a little old masterpiece of Art for the Grand Tour tourist of the 19th century visiting Italy. The quality of the carving is just amazing ! All mounted in 14K gold (touchstone tested) with down an embossed gold decoration. An old hallmark is on the hooks. End of the 19th century. From a family collection in Rome. They are in perfect condition.
