From Venice we have this pair of antique earrings in Amethyst smooth and faceted. Two round elements and a fringe of small amethyst beads. All mounted in 14K Gold. According to Mythology amethyst prevented drunkness and therefore...... you could drink wine at will. They are very nice, good colour and elegant to wear. From Venice, end of the 19th century. 14K Gold (touchstone tested). They are in good condition.
