Antique tortoiseshell carved gold earrings

Description:

We are presenting a very unusual pair of antique earrings in tortoiseshell carved representing Flora, the Goddess of Spring. Please have a close look to this little masterpiece of sculpture. The Goddess is lying well dressed with a tunic and has a bouquet of flowers in her hand. Really a wonderful example of the art of carving. We bought them from a family collection in Rome. We belive that they are from the mid of the 19th century made for a special customer. 14K Gold (touchstone tested. They are in perfect condition.
