Here we have an amazing pair of antique earrings in Sardonix cameos representing a Cupid (the God of love) sitting on the clouds and surrounded by flowers. He his handling an harp and down there is a quiver with the arrows of love. They are a little old masterpiece of Art for the Grand Tour tourists of the 19th century. The quality of the white carving on the dark background is just amazing. It looks like Cupid is coming out of the cameo jumping in the air. On the Top we have a round embossed gold baroque motif. 14K Gold (touchstone tested). From Naples. End of the 19th century. An old hallmark is on the hooks. They are in perfect condition.
